Southeastern train service has cut journey times between Central London and Kent (as its mentioned in southeastern train map). The high speed southeastern trains played a key role during the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games as the Javelin shuttle service. Many of the trains are named after Olympic athletes. All high speed services of southeastern train on our routes to Kent are Hitachi Class 395 trains

Currently the UK only domestic high-speed train service, Javelin trains were introduced by Southeastern in 2009, cutting journey times drastically between Kent and central London (as its shown in southeastern train map). Able to travel at speeds of up to 140 mph, these high-speed southeastern trains played a major part in people transport during the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games. The Javelin Shuttle Service (from which the nickname Javelin stuck) ferried spectators from the Olympic Park in Stratford into central London. Be sure to look out for the name on the side of the train before you board, as many are named after Olympic athletes.

Tickets for Southeastern high-speed service can be a little higher than their normal services (see southeastern train map), but well worth it for the extra speed. You are able to travel on Javelin trains if your ticket includes the following routes. If you are travelling on a Javelin train (southeastern train) between London St Pancras International and Stratford International, you can also tap in using your Oyster or contactless card.
